5 reasons why people dislike Nole.

1. His confidence borders on the lines of arrogance..
2. He doesn’t give enough respect to Roger as he should.
3. He is the most likely to topple Roger from his throne which was unthinkable last year. People thought Roger’s God status in tennis is applied to his physical existence as well.
4. His on and off field theatrics irks even Grandmothers with visual impairment.
5. People just cannot digest the fact that he possesses a complete game as compared to his peers, that can only be fine tuned with experience which should most probably propel him to number one sooner than many expects.

If someone calls for an open debate, there would be never ending reasons cited against him so much so at his fledgling career, that if he reads should cringe him to agony.

But one reason why people like him: He openly challenged Roger “The Mighty” Federer that he wants to be the number 1 at a time when every other player in the circuit was happy to take a set off Roger and would have been privileged to wait for a positive comment or two from him over their game.

And the question. How many of you folks felt that Roger would be the number 1 and would be so consistent during his reign at the top, after he won his first Grandslam title, Wimbledon’03? You can have an excuse. We did not have so much media exposure as Nole is currently receiving.

When I first saw Roger winning the title against a power player like Mark Philippoussis, I thought who is this guy who hasn’t got a power serve but yet he won Wimbledon. Roger has a good serve but not known for his aces. It’s only oflate he is surviving on his serve at crucial points.

Change is constant, everybody knows it. But as Smox said, the more Novak wins the more people will like him. And I guess it’s pretty much the same case with Roger before they started admiring his personality and started becoming his die-hard fans.

Roger fans may not like Nole and his supporters but Nole supporters still love Roger fans. Remember that victory speech Novak delivered after winning his first Grandslam at the Australian Open? Nole said, “I know the crowd wants him (Tsonga) to win more, yeah,yeah, I know it’s ok…but I still love you guys”.
